It`s been a while since my last post. Honestly I`ve just been so busy with school and all. I have literally never had any more schoolwork than I did this year, and the last few weeks they just kept pilling on work `till the point where we basically didn’t have time to sleep, ha-ha. And obviously I could have thrown in a couple of posts here and there, but I didn`t feel like I was in the right mind space to blog because of all the stress, and I don`t really want to half ass it as a really do care about my blog.
So now that it`s finally summer, I am ready to plunge back into the world of blogging! I have so much to update you on, as well as plans and projects for this summer break that I am just so ready to start. I even made a new Instagram to mark this new beginning, and I will be putting it up on my blog as soon as I have posted a few things on there.
I am super excited about this summer and I am super excited about blogging again. I hope you all get to do what you want to do this holiday, whether it is travel, work on a special project, party, read or just relax and sleep `till noon. Maybe even all of it! I hope you have a wonderful time 🙂

So I thought that for my next “Zoë’s Book Club” I could do a recommended book from one of you guys. I know I personally love getting people to read my favorite books (and tweets tbh), and I know I’m not the only one! So what is a book that you would recommend that the whole world read? It can really be anyting.
A horror book
Even a ridiculess YA novel (my guilty pleasure)

Instead of going with a book I`ve never read before by an author I don`t know much of, i decided to go with a book by my favorite author, Cecelia Ahern, that has stuck with me ever since I read it as a young teenager. “Thanks for the memories”. Basically, I`ve been super busy lately, but also I genuinely want to share this amazing book with you!
A woman (Joyce) has a miscarriage when she falls down the stairs. Her life is saved by a blood transfusion. When she wakes up she suddenly has knowledge she never had before. Like architectural history and how to speak Italian. While in the midst of her divorce and sorrow she keeps running in to a (handsome) american (Justin). They seem to be drawn to each other and are in actuality tied by a magical connection.
My favorite character in this book is Joyce`s father. This is because he loves her so much and keeps supporting her in everything she does even though he is sort of confused and scared. The relationship between him and his daughter is also adorable. The “father-with-dementia” concept is in no way a new one, but it`s usually just downright sad. Here I felt he was much more layered and not just an object of pity, but rather a support and with a good sense of humor.
“I’m never overwhelmed or under it either; just nicely whelmed. I’m OK. Nothing spectacular but sometimes special. I look in the mirror and see this medium average person. A little tired, a little sad, but not falling apart.”
When the hairdresser says she can`t possibly cut off all that long gorgeous hair, and Joyce is like “sure you can, just like this” and takes the scissor and cut`s it off herself.
Three life lessons:
- Memories aren’t just moments, they`re parts of us. And that no matter what happens, we can find the strength to move on and make new ones.
- If you aren`t happy with something, then change it. it`s never to late to make life changes and do what`s best for you.
- As always is Cecelia Aherns books, that there is some magic in the world. Not fairies and unicorns, or anything like that. But deja vu`s and insane amounts of everyday beauty, and maybe even soulmates.
A solid 4/5 stars.
It`s so beautiful and the charcters are great, but it is slightly to fairytale-ish.
Would I recommend it?
Firstly I`d just like to say thank you so much for for helping me finally reach 100 WP followers! I am so grateful for each and every one of you. So now, to further spread the love, I am going to give you something back. My three of the day tips. Hopefully I can make your day a little better to. (Although it`d be near impossible for me to do as much for you as you have done for me). So, let`s go!
Advice of the day:
Get organized. I know that for a lot of us, exam time is coming up. Which is daunting enough, but don`t add the pressure of not being prepared. Of course not everyone now which classes they are getting examined in, but either way you should just make an overview of what classes you have and what you know best in each and what you don`t have completely under control. That way, when studying time comes around, you already know where to start and what to focus on. Gives you a little less to do in that stressful period and gives you something to do to avoid studying today. Win-Win! And f0r those of you who don`t go to school, don`t worry, i haven`t forgotten about you! We could all use some structure and direction in our lives. What you should do is sit down with a nice cup of tea and your favorite or new notebook and reflect on your life. Think in the lines of “where am I, and where do I want to be” also “what can I do today to create a better tomorrow for myself”.
Motivation of the day:
Okay, I personally hate the sun. I know, I know, it`s weird. But I do. However, this post is not about me. It`s about you. So since I am annoyingly aware of the sun lately, that`s what I`m going to remind you of to motivate you. The sun is shining, it`s getting warmer and everyday we get closer to summer vacation, lazy days at the beach and (my personal favorite) light summer dresses and wavy hair! We just have to make it through this season of flaky weather and pollen allergy. Which is a season that most people view as pretty beautiful and happy anyways. Birds chirping an flowers blossoming. I ain`t really all that bad guys! (though the exams are terrible)
Fashion tip of the day:
The statement belt. Soon summer will come around and we`ll all be wearing dresses with slim or no belts. Take this opportunity to dress up your winter clothes with a good, strong belt. Like one of these (click to be directed to site).
As I am sitting in my mothers office completely taken over by caffeine and the excitement of only having four more days of school left before christmas break, I just really want to share that feeling with you guys! So here goes.
Advice of the day:
Watch this amazing Nat Chat that I was telling you about a few posts back. Christmas is a time were everybody should just be happy and relaxed and filled with holiday spirit and bliss. Yet, more often than not, we stress even MORE than usually. We stress about getting our christmas shopping done (I have not started yet, as usual around this time a year), about the infamous christmas cleaning, whether or not it will snow (like Natalia says in the video, don`t stress about the things you can`t control. We can not control this), what we are going to wear on christmas eve, what are kids are going to wear (do any of my readers have kids?). As the most stressed person in the world, there is no way I can tell you to stress down without being a hypocrite, so I`ll let NT do that for me. All I can say, is that this video has actually been of great help for me. And if there is hope for me, there is definitely hope for you.
Motivation of the day:
Christmas break is as I mentioned, right around the corner! That means that in a few days (are maybe even already depending on your schools or workplace system!) you will officially have permission to get up everyday at 1 pm in, lounge around in your quite checkered pyjamas and robe, and just lay on the couch for hours on end watching nostalgic christmas specials from Disney eating chocolate and marzipan. And in a few more days, you can stuff your face with the people you love AND get presents! How great is that? And even if you don`t celebrate christmas, you will most likely still have the holiday, which is great in it self! And let`s not forget that a new year is approaching. Finally we will all have (somewhat) clean slates and new possibilities waiting for us 🙂
Fashion tip of the day:
If you`re going to be wearing PJ`s for a week (many of us are, don`t be ashamed) at least wear some cute, instagram worthy PJ`s. Also, pair them with super comfertable slippers. It`s really the only outfit that can get away with it anyways. Every christmas my grandmother gets my a pair of high slippers (kind of boot-like), and they`re so comfy! Also, they have small gripper thingies in rubber on the soles so you won`t sleep because my grandmother is highly concerned with the level of clumsyness that I inhabit. Back to the point. Wear cute pyjamas. And don`t be afraid to wear some accesories with it, so your make-up and style your hair. Ao what if it seems “fake”, it looks and feels awesome! Personly, I am not the type to wear pyjamas for longer than two hours after I get up, but if I do, I really love the dolled up pyjamas look. Is that a thing? I don`t even know. Well it is now. #dolleduppjs2016
